Inmate

[edit]

I worked with a chap in the late 70s who knew Bradford as he had been a conscientious objector and had been a prisoner (I didn't know they locked them up) at Manningham. He said that Les Kellet had been one of the other inmates and they were good friends. he said that when the jailors used to beat them up that was when Les learned to act like he was punch drunk. It would be interesting to know if this was true, the chap who told me was a Londoner an east end chap and hard as nails, I can't see any reason why he would mis-represent the truth. 16:41, 30 November 2015 (UTC)16:41, 30 November 2015 (UTC)~~
